Tour Highlights
Pyrgos
Built amphitheatrically on a hill, Pyrgos is privileged with a mesmerizing 360o view of the island. Home to one of the best-preserved Venetian castles that once graced Santorini, it has managed to maintain its original characteristics, featuring a much more relaxing atmosphere, in contrast to the fussy island centers. Gazing around, the architecture lines of a former fortress blend in perfect harmony with all contemporary facilities, like elegant restaurants and all kinds of shops.
Profitis Elias Monastery
Built in the 18th century on the highest peak of the island, the monastery dedicated to Profitis Elias is a stunning example of Cycladic architecture at its best. Standing tall at 567m above the level of the sea, this sanctuary shelters rare clerical artefacts, scripts, and unique Byzantine icons and sculptures. Its chapel is decorated with beautiful frescoes and unique religion icons.
Red Beach
A small secluded natural bay, nesting inside a blood-red rocky wall. Its color, attributed to iron oxidization in the volcanic rock, makes the red beach one of the greatest attractions in Santorini. Rough beauty, literary born of disaster.
Perivolos & Perissa
Famous for being the most bustling spot in Santorini, the huge beach of Perivolos and Perissa, stretches 7km on the coastline, well-known for its volcanic black sand and deep, crystal-clear water. Perfect for spending the day under the Greek sun, Perivolos and Perissa simply have it all: restaurants, beach clubs, shops, water sports, even night clubs!
Imerovigli
There is a very special reason Imerovigli is called “the balcony to the Aegean”!
Right on the edge of the rim facing the volcano, its houses are built amphitheatrically around the caldera, small Cycladic architecture churches can be found everywhere, and it is crossed by narrow, traditionally paved paths. A prominent landmark of Santorini, the Skaros Rock, stands tall right in front of the village, attracting visitors for the beautiful views.
Firostefani
Translated from Greek, Firostefani means “the crown of Fira” and it is for very apparent reasons. Located within Fira and Imerovigli, its beautiful paved paths are hanging on the edge of the caldera cliffs, facing the volcano. Charming restaurants, boutique houses, and all kinds of shops are found into its busy alleys, offering visitors breathtaking views and mesmerizing sunsets.
Oia
One of the most photographed settlements worldwide, Oia holds the key to romance…Gracefully balancing on steep slope, with its marble paved streets right at the edge of the rim, it feels mesmerizing during sunset time. Stroll around this small, picturesque village and feel the vibes of a place nourished by the bright summer sun and the Aegean breeze.
